Mr. Skellie learns something new...

My Dear Hubby has been cutting thin sheets of OSB into narrow strips and stapling them in place down between the joists.
This had Mr. Skellie very perplexed. Why was Bill putting the floor on the bottom of the joists?
That just didn't make sense. "Watch and learn Mr. Skellie" Bill said. After he stapled each strip in place, he caulked around the edge so insects would have a difficult time getting up in there. Then he ran his wire for future outlets and popped in the batts of insulation. A thick layer of tongue and groove plywood went on the top of the joists. "Ahh! I see what you did there," Mr. Skellie exclaimed.
He wanted to run the nail gun, but couldn't quite manage the trigger.
So as usual, he started ordering everybody around. I was supposed to finish the nailing but the nailer is so loud, it makes me jump when it goes off
so Bill took over and Mr. Skellie took cover in a container of screws.
Then he spotted the dead tubes of caulking and had to pose on one of them.
Bill went through his shop and used up all the 1/4 and 1/2 tubes that were leftover from other projects and Mr. Skellie started calling it the caulking tube graveyard. It is pretty humid out there today and Mr. Skellie said he didn't feel well, so I brought him back inside. Right now he's hob-nobbing with the ladies from the quilt shop...I think he has his eye on Marlene....Happy 4th of July! Have a great day!
